Safeguarding our pupils is our highest priority.  As a visitor to the school, you are expected to hold high standards when on the School Estate as a model to our young people.

CHILD PROTECTION CONCERNS

The protection and safeguarding of our children is our highest priority. We seek to foster a safe School environment.

The staff adhere to the policies within the School ethos and recognise our duty of care towards all children.  If you require further information or clarification on any matter visit our website to see our full policy or ask at the School Office.

If you are concerned that a child is being harmed, is at risk of harm, or you receive a disclosure from a pupil you must contact the following staff member as quickly as possible:

PUPIL INTERACTION

We have very bright and wonderful children who are naturally inquisitive as to who you are and what you are here for.  Please wear your lanyard at all times to inform them that you are a legitimate visitor.

We encourage appropriate interaction whether you are working with the children or around the premises.  Please be very aware of the language you use and the nature of your conversations.

FIRE

In the event of the fire alarm, please use the nearest exit.  You will be required to meet with the pupils and staff in the designated areas on the back lawn (Seniors) or the car park (Juniors and laboratories).  Please make yourself familiar with the nearest fire exit to where you will be working or visiting.  Please ask a member of staff if you are unsure or see the fire notice situated around the School by most doors for your nearest exit.

Under NO circumstances should you try to re-enter the building when you have evacuated.
