Our purpose and aims…

The aim of the Foundation is to ensure that first-class resources and facilities can be developed to underpin the education we provide at Cransley School. It is led by an collective of Governors, Parents and Staff, on invitation by the Headteacher.

Whilst the financial management of the school is excellent, fee income alone often cannot fully capitalise major new developments at the speed that is required to maintain cutting edge facilities.

The Foundation excels at raising funds through a series of superb events throughout the year, engaging families, pupils and friends of the School. Events range from CransleyFest, the Cransley Fireworks, the end of year Leavers’ Ball, Christmas Markets and Burns’ Night Celebration.

The Foundation also generates revenue through corporate education sponsorship, our alumni, individual donations and pupil participation in sponsorship events, and in seeking new income streams to allow the School to fund major capital projects.

Projects

These major projects will be driven not only by the academic requirements of the School, but by the requirements of local businesses and community groups, and the input from their members.  The projects promote Cransley School and the brand as being a highly sought after centre of excellence within the local independent sector, with a degree of accessibility and opportunity unavailable in local over-populated maintained primary and high schools, through small class sizes, teaching expertise and individual pupil development.

The Friends of Cransley

The Friends of Cransley consist of groups of parents from various different sections of the school who wish to organise a social enrichment event for pupils or parents with the Foundation’s capital support.

In the past these have included children’s parties, golf days, afternoon teas in school, karting events, film nights, and more.

The Foundation hopes to encourage far more events like these to be organised, using the School Estate, without the obligation of fundraising, but simply making ‘ends meet’, and without the all-year-round commitment to the Foundation.

Put simply - if you have an idea for your child class, or for a group of parents, please volunteer and the Foundation can discuss how you can be supported in organising the event.

We are very keen to encourage volunteers throughout the School.
